Biography
Dr. Juan Chen received her B.Sc. in polymer chemistry from Shandong University, China, and obtained her Ph.D in applied chemistry from the Research Institute of Petrochemical Processing, China. She received postdoctoral training in the department of radiology at University of Pennsylvania with Dr. Gang Zheng, where she involved the design and development of photodynamic molecular beacons and lipid-based nanoparticles. Dr. Chen is currently the research project manager in Dr. Zheng’s lab at University Health Network in Toronto. Her research interests include the development and evaluation of smart probes for molecular imaging/PDT and nanobased platforms for drug/probe delivery.
